Dear Fellow Crafters,

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Keepsake Kottage Crafting Retreat will be moving. Without going into too many details let us explain.  Upon purchasing this property we inquired with residents in the community, as well as the owner of the property who was an officer of the Homeowner’s Association at the time, whether this business would be acceptable.  At the time, there were no objections so in the summer of 2006 we obtained the approval of Mitchell County and were issued an indefinite variance.  

At the September 2006 Sleepy Hollow Homeowner’s Association meeting we were granted a “12 month trial period.” Even though we have not been of any inconvenience or disturbance to the association or our neighbors, we were shocked to learn in January 2008 that the community does not, after all, want the presence of a business.  So, we are on a new adventure.

There are a few possibilities being investigated:  One, existing home within reasonable proximity to your present retreat, or perhaps building on a site we own in the area. We will keep you up to date, and please feel free to call with any questions you may have.

Your choice of Keepsake Kottage as your crafting retreat center these last 18 months has been a wonderful gift. We thank you. Reservations will continue to be accepted through 2008 with great new rates. We will advise everyone well in advance, once our new location is confirmed. Our goal is to be settled in our new establishment prior to December 2008.   

Once again, thank you all for your patronage in 2007 and 2008!! We are looking forward to a full house in 2009….. in a better place!
